I'm Glad I'm Not a Turkey

(sung to the tune "Did You Ever See a Lassie"}

Oh I'm glad I'm not a turkey

a turkey

a turkey

oh I'm glad I'm not a turkey

on Thanksgiving Day!

First they stuff you

then bake you

and then they all taste you

oh I'm glad I'm not a turkey

on Thanksgiving day!

Albuquerque Turkey

This is a favorite Thanksgiving song in my classroom.  Enjoy!

Albuquerque Turkey

(sung to the tune of "Clementine")

Albuquerque is a turkey

And he's feathered and he's fine

And he wobbles and he gobbles

And he's absolutely mine

He's the best pet

You can get yet

Better than a dog or cat

He's an Albuquerque Turkey

And I'm awfully proud of that

And my Albuquerque Turkey

Is so happy in his bed

Because for Thanksgiving dinner

We have spaghetti instead
