Jam on it!

It was all about grapes this past weekend -harvest time! I was completely unprepared for the amount of grapes there to get off the vine. The grass hid and protected at least half of the grapes. We managed to put up 6 batches of jelly and jam -not all are seen in the photo. Of course, I had to make some bread to go along with the new jam. Yummy!

I think it is time to get serious about providing something for the grape vine to grow on. I'm sure with a little more TLC we could really get some good crops from this little grape vine of ours!

Do you preserve your garden's bounty?

Morning Glorious

What started out as 2 seedlings in 3 inch pots turned into..............................

....a 10 foot wall of morning glories!

It makes a cozy corner of the patio right outside the garage.  Already I'm dreaming of what I can do next summer to add another "wall".  And possibly a "roof".  My own secret garden!
