Another Handmade Treasure

My grandmother liked to quilt.  She made quilt tops for each of her grandchildren that were handed down after she passed away.  My saintly mother finished the quilt for me.

I don't know what the pattern is called, but I know she used scraps from flour sacks as pieces.  Some of the fabric is leftover from dresses my mom had as a child!  It is full sized and backed with a pale green fabric.  It gets top billing when I make the bed.  It is oh-so-soft and I feel hugged when I'm under its folds.
