Boite a Couture

 

I think this is going to be my next project: a sewing basket!  

My main craft space is in my basement.  It is not always convenient to work there, especially in the evenings when I'm alone with my toddler.  I'm thinking a basket that can hold some sewing basics (as well as space for a project) will make it easier for me to do some hand sewing in the evenings and keep things together.

I found this nifty box at my local craft store.  She's pretty, n'est-ce pas? 

 

 

Around Christmas I ordered this fabric from the lovely jojoebi

 

 

Birds and the Eiffel Tower -could it be any sweeter?  I think this fabric will be perfect for creating pockets and compartments to hold my sewing goodies inside my box.  Yet another thing that makes me smile when I see it!
